Extraction of minerals
Development of extractive industries is conditioned by substantial reserves of minerals. In the volume of minerals extraction the Krasnoyarsk Krai ranks third after Kemerovo and Tomsk regions among the Siberian Federal District regions In 2007 318 organizations were engaged in extraction of minerals. 5 organizations with contribution of outside capital were engaged in extraction of minerals. The volume of shipped goods of own production, executed works and services of the enterprises according to the types of actual activities makes 35,1 billion rubles. In comparison with 2007 it has increased by 22,2 %.

In 2007 the extraction of oil increased by 4,4 %, gas by 17,9 %, iron ore by 2,9 %, building nonmetallic materials — 10,3 %, sand — 10,2 %.
