Manufacture and distribution of electric power, gas and water

Substantial reserves of brown coal and ample hydroenergy resources create favorable conditions for electric power production in the region.

There are 20 large operating power objects and 1 power station under construction:
• five Hydroelectric Power Stations (“Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station” JSC; Kureisk Hydroelectric Power Station and Ust-Hantaisk Hydroelectric Power Station which belongs to “Norilsk-Taimyr power company” JSC; “Yenashiminsk Hydroelectric Power Station” LLC and Boguchany Hydroelectric Power Station (under construction));
• three Condensing Electric Stations (“Nazarovo GRES” JSC — belongs to the “Territorial generating company № 13” JSC (further — TGC № 13 JSC); “Krasnoyarsk GRES-2” JSC and “Beryozovskaya GRES-1” JSC which form parts of the “Wholesale generating company № 6“ JSC and the “Wholesale generating company № 4” JSC, respectively (further — WGC № 6 JSC and WGC № 4 JSC);
• twelve Heating Plants (Krasnoyarsk HP-1, HP-2, HP-3, Kansk HP and Minusinsk HP which form part of “TGC № 13” JSC; Norilsk HP-1, HP-2 and HP-3 and belong to the “Norilsk-Taimyr Power Company” (“NTPC” JSC); Achinsk HP-1 and HP-2 which are the parts of the “Rusal — Achinsk” JSC; Kansk HP — which belongs to the “Kansk Biochemical Plant” JSC);
• one Nuclear Power Station — the federal state unitary enterprise “Mountain-chemical combine”.

The total fixed capacity of power stations of the Krasnoyarsk region makes 13 910 megawatt, includingthe types of power stations: HPS — 7 041 megawatt, GRES — 3 770 megawatt, HP — 2  474 megawatt, NPS — 117 megawatt; according to the departmental subordination: “Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station” JSC — 6 000 megawatt, “TGC № 13” JSC — 2 075 megawatt, “NTPC” JSC — 2 236 megawatt, the federal state unitary enterprise “Mountain-chemical combine” — 117 megawatt, power stations of other departments — 324 megawatt.

In 2007 manufacture of electric energy in the region made 56,9 billion kilowatt per hour, manufacture of heat energy made 45,8 million Gcal.

477 organizations were engaged in this economic activity, including 4 organizations with ontribution of outside capital.
