Construction

In 2007 the volume of executed works of construction economic activity amounted to 43,5 billion rubles (increasing by 13,6 % in comparison with 2006). According to this index, the building complex of the Krasnoyarsk Krai ranked the third among the Siberian Federal District regions in 2007. Among the regions of the Russian Federation the Krai is one of the 20 most successful regions (the 17th place).

In 2007 6116 organizations were engaged in this economic activity, including 2 organizations with contribution of outside capital.

Factors of building development in the Krai were:
• realization of great capital investment projects connected with development of fuel and energy resources extraction (exploration of Vankorskiy petroleum deposit) and transport infrastructure of the Krai;
• realization of the complex development program of the Lower Angara River territory;
• reconstruction of metallurgical enterprises — “RUSAL — Krasnoyarsk aluminum plant” JSC, Polar branch “MMC Norilsk Nickel” JSC;
• realization of regional and federal target programs including out-migration of population living in Northern territories, as well as out-migration from slum dwelling and troubled housing according to the National project “Affordable and comfortable accommodation for Russian citizens”;
• high demand on accommodation, caused by development of bank crediting and mortgage schemes, according to the standards of Mortage Home Finance Agency.

Development of local production of the modern constructional materials provided dynamic development of the building complex.

In 2007 about 1159,1 mln sq. meters of accomodation were set in operation (i.e.129 % to the volume of 2006). According to this index the region ranked the second among the Siberian Federal District regions. The largest enterprises are:
• “Monolitholding” LLC;
• “Cultbytstroy” CJSC;
• “Sibagropromstroy” CJSC;
