Agriculture, fishery and fish breeding
The Krasnoyarsk Krai is large agricultural region in Eastern Siberia. Naturally, agriculture is developed in all agricultural regions of the Krai. The main directions of agricultural complex development are: production of grain and milk, cattle rising, poultry husbandry, potato growing and vegetable farm-out.
More than 50 % of regional volume of agricultural production is the share of the regions located in the central and southwest parts of the Krai: Nazarovsky, Yemelyanovsky, Uzhursky, Berezovsky, Shushensky, Mansky, Balahtinsky, Sharypovsky, Minusinsky, Krasnoturansky.
Of east regions Kansky region is notable for the high level of agricultural development. The Krasnoyarsk Krai is an important region for fur trade. On average, up to 45 000 of trapped sables and 100 000 squirrel-pelts are produced in the Krai. The leading agricultural sectors are:
• plant growing;
• animal husbandry (cattle, pigs, poultry).
Annual production of agricultural products amounted to 41,6 billion rubles (increasing by 6,7 % in comparison with 2006).

State support directed to plant cultivation development, cattle breeding and peopleware of agricultural complex contribute to the development of agriculture. The volume of state support funds of agriculture in 2007 increased by 7,9 % in 2006 and made 2,2 billion rubles. Irretrievable sum was 1,5 billion rubles, (increased by 21 % in comparison with 2006).
It included state support of cattle breeding (836,8 million rubles) and plant cultivation (510,1 million rubles). Along with a direction of means for indemnification of a part of expenses of the agricultural organizations, development of breeding business and increase of fertility of the grounds, actions directed on development of material base of branch were supported, also within the limits of the priority national project "Development of agrarian and industrial complex". In the volume of agricultural production per head the Krasnoyarsk Krai ranks 5th among the Siberian Federal District regions.
In production of grain cultures the Krai have been in the leading position among the Siberian Federal District regions for three years, and in 2007 this rates reached 19,8 q/h. In production of cattle and poultry the Krai ranks third among the regions of the Siberian Federal District ( 173,4 th. tons). In production of milk it is the fourth (659,5 th. tons). Among the regions of the Russian Federation in volume of manufacture of grain, meat and milk the Krai is in the second ten and ranks 16th, 16th and 12th respectively. The largest enterprises are: “Siberian Guberniya” LLC, “Plemzavod Shuvaevsky” JSC, “Shushenskaya poultry plant” LlC, “Novoselovskoye” CJSC, “Adadymskoye” JSC, “Solyanskoye” LLC.
Fishery and fish breeding
The production index of the fishery activity made 118,1 % in 2007 in comparison with 2006. 77 organizations were engaged in this type of economic activity.
